Amigurumi I : Fundamentals
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting and knitting small animals and cute designs, join Blixt Sensei in this brand new program to learn how to make your own!
Wednesdays from 6:00pm – 7:30 for 4 weeks – exact dates: 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27 OR Sunday from 1:00pm – 2:30pm 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24
This class is for beginners who have not crocheted before, or those for those who need a refresher and will culminate in making a simple project.
In this class we will learn:
Tools and materials Slipstitch
The foundation chain Decreasing
Single crochet stitch Reading a pattern
Slipknot Making a circle
After this course you will be ready for the Amigurumi II class, which will continue with new and exciting projects!
Materials included: Hooks, Yarn, Needles, patterns, handouts and assorted materials (plus a few surprise items)

Age: 14 years of age and beyond
Renée Blixt, MBA has studied crochet, knitting and embroidery from an early age. She is a member of the Crochet Guild, The Knitting Guild Association and the Embroidery Guild of America. She has contributed to various publications. Also, Blixt Sensei has taught for many years, most notably at the School of the Art Institute as well as various other colleges.
