Second Annual Nihon Bunka Festival August 18
Saturday, August 13th, 2011Join us for our second annual Japanese Culture Festival taking place this year at Chicago’s SUSHISAMBA Rio.

The Japanese Culture Center, Sapporo Beer, and Honest Tea will be sponsoring a Japanese Culture Festival this September 2nd, 2010 from 7 - 9 pm. See live demonstrations of martial arts, including aikido and capoeira, at this fundraiser hosted by the Aikido International Foundation. The upgraded admission price includes an open bar or beer, wine and Absolute vodka.
Tickets: $35; $20 sans open bar.

Monday, July 5th, 2010On June 29, the Japanese Culture Center participated in a demonstration at the Family Fun Stage at the annual Taste of Chicago. The event welcomed students in for the month-long Kenshusei training and the new uchidechi (live-in students). Members from the Lakeview and Burbank centers and Pathway to Harmony dojo made the demonstration a huge success.
