The Japanese Arts Foundation is thrilled to return for another summer Horror Film Fest at Logan Theatre!
This year we are serving drinks, drag, mochi donuts, horror experts, and a giant skeleton straight out of Utagawa Kuniyoshi’s iconic Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre with effects by Air Party! See individual dates for more details on films and programs.

Join us for a weekend celebrating Japanese horror full of spooky Suntory Highballs, gorey mochi donuts from our friends at Gaijin, visceral drag performances, horror film talks from experts, an unforgettable photo booth, and of course good times! Each ticket includes admission to films, complimentary highballs, mochi donuts, performances and talks, immersive photobooth, and one Vampire Hunter D original artwork poster from local artist Eric Kozlowsky to take home. Extra thanks to our friends and partners at BeamSuntory, Gaijin, Air Party, and Horror Vanguard.

Air Party is a balloon decor business, from a photographer’s perspective, located in Chicago. Mandy Dempsey is the creator of Air Party. Mandy has been working as a photographer since 2010 and has specialized in creating themed portrait opportunities for her clients. Her love for conceptualizing and creating a range of themed sets for photo opps sparked her fascination with balloon decor and installations. Air Party is available for local businesses, personal celebrations and corporate events.
