About this Event

This is a continuation of the celebration of The Year of the Ox that began in January. The Sumi-e on Sunday Series will focus on learning the vocabulary of strokes while creating paintings to accompany the Ten Verses on Ox-herding, a Zen parable on enlightenment.

The course will total five classes and will start with a stroke techniques, which we will then apply to two paintings in each class (for a total of 10 painting in the course).

All levels are welcome, plan to let go, have fun while learning a few new stoke techniques and create your own interpretation of the ten verses.

If you need course materials a full sumi-e kit is available here.
