Class Location:

Online via Meet. The chatroom info and other necessary materials will be sent a day or two before the first lesson; please supply a contact email.

Please also provide an email address where Sensei can communicate with the student during the lesson. When there are quizzes or the class is working on their worksheets, they will be asked to send photos of what they’ve completed so far if they can’t use their camera to show what they’re working on. Any work they’re unable to get to in class is homework that should be scanned in or photographed and emailed to Sensei before the next class starts.

Class Description:

Let’s learn to write and speak with everyday vocabulary and grammar! A curriculum and workbook are shared on the first day but you might want to bring your own notebook and pencils to take notes.

We’ll cover new topics every time; each session uses things we’ve learned in previous lessons. Sadly, we don’t have the space to do any make-up lessons, so if you have to miss more than one class in a row or want to join after the course has started, take this course the next time it’s offered.

And, if you do need to miss a session, the homework for the missed lesson still has to be turned in. Feel free to ask questions at the open office hour during the week. Sensei will be happy to help!

Whatever worksheets we don’t finish in class become homework. We’ll do quizzes and games to make sure you get the topic. Getting an 85% or above on the test will get you into the Beginner II class. (Hint: the test format matches the quiz formats!)

Let’s enjoy learning Japanese together! よろしくおねがいします!
