Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting and knitting small animals and cute designs!

Description

Join Blixt-sensei in this brand new program to learn how to make your own.

*Fundamentals of Amigurumi

This class is for beginners who have not crocheted before or for those who need a refresher.

In this class we will learn:

  • Tools and materials
  • Jargon
  • Techniques and skills: The foundation chain, Single crochet stitch, Slipknot, Slipstitch, Increasing, Decreasing and how to read various pattern formats.

After this course you will be ready for the Amigurumi Course, which will continue with new and exciting projects.

Sundays from 2:00pm – 3:30pm for 3 weeks

Class Dates: 12/6, 12/13, and 12/20

Registration will close one week prior to the class. Please register before then to reserve your spot.

Age: 14 years of age and beyond

Instructor’s Bio:

Renée Blixt has studied crochet, knitting and embroidery from an early age. She is a member of the Crochet Guild, The Knitting Guild Association and the Japanese Temari Association.

Ms. Blixt has taught for many years most notably at the School of the Art Institute.

She finds these Arts to be a form of meditation and is happy to share this art with the others.

  • All materials will be sent to you. If you have a Crochet G-Hook and a ball of any worsted weight (size 4) yarn, you may use your own.
