(If you’ve learned some of this and aren’t sure if this is the right level for you, placement tests are available. Alternatively, you can ask us about tutoring to get you ready to be in the class of your choice.)
Online via Google Meet. The chatroom info and other necessary materials will be sent a day or two before the first lesson to the email address you register with.
Sensei will occasionally use email to communicate with the student during the lesson: if the registration email cannot be used during class, please provide an email address for the student.
When there are quizzes or the class is working on their worksheets, they will be asked to send photos of what they’ve completed so far if they can’t use their camera to show what they’re working on. Any work they’re unable to get to in class is homework that should be scanned in or photographed and emailed to Sensei before the next class starts.
Let’s learn to write and speak with everyday vocabulary and grammar! A curriculum and workbook are shared on the first day but you might want to bring your own notebook and pencils to take notes.
We’ll cover new topics every time; each session uses things we’ve learned in previous lessons and whatever worksheets we don’t finish in class become homework. Sadly, we don’t have the space to do any make-up lessons, so if you have to miss more than one class in a row or want to join after the course has started, take this course the next time it’s offered.
And, if you do need to miss a session, the worksheets for the missed lesson still have to be turned in. Feel free to ask questions at the open office hour during the week. Sensei will be happy to help!
Having all the workbook worksheets completed, including any corrections, and turned in will get you into the next course.
Let’s enjoy learning Japanese together! よろしくおねがいします!
