DESCRIPTION:Join this one-hour virtual Reiki practice for self-care to relax\, refresh\, and find balance!\n\n\n**$20 per person** \nABOUT THE SELF-CARE PRACTICE \nThis one-hour online Reiki self-care practice in the traditional Japanese style of Reiki offers participants the opportunity to take a pause during the day to relax\, refresh\, and come back to their original state of balance. This practice is guided by Veronique Frede\, Reiki Teacher. It may include breathing exercises and meditation to feel more present\, clear\, and centered; hands-on healing on ourselves; working with the Japanese energy system; exploring the Reiki precepts as life-guiding principles; chanting mantras; as well as receiving distant healing from the teacher. \nEveryone welcome\, no prerequisite. Make sure you are in a quiet and comfortable place at time of the session. You can practice seated on a chair or on the floor in seiza or lotus position. Have a glass of water available to drink at the end of your session. \n*Once you register\, you will receive an Eventbrite confirmation email which will include a “View Now” button that will take you to the Zoom link to join. Please reach out if you do not receive this email or have trouble accessing the Zoom link. \n**Registration will close one hour prior to the class. Please try to be on time in respect for the group. The session will be locked at 12:10 pm (Central Time/US)\, and you will not be able to enter after that time. \n \nWHAT IS REIKI? \nReiki is a Japanese healing art that was developed in Japan in the 1920’s by Usui Mikao. The original name was “shin shin kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho” which can be translated as the Usui healing method for the improvement of body and mind. The method has 5 main elements that include breath meditation\, the precepts\, symbols and mantras\, hands-on healing and the Reiju or blessings. \nHOW CAN REIKI HELP YOU? \nThe practice of Reiki brings balance and harmony in body\, mind and energy. It strengthens the body-mind connection allowing to us  relax\, center ourselves\, gain clarity\, find peace\, and develop a deep connection within ourselves and with the world around us. The practice of Reiki restores the body’s natural rhythm and equilibrium allowing healing to happen.   \nIf you are interested to learn the system of Reiki\, please check our in-person classes on our calendar or contact us. \nABOUT THE TEACHER \nVeronique is a certified Reiki Teacher/Practitioner in the Japanese lineage “Usui Reiki Ryoho”.  Originally from France\, Veronique has been studying and practicing Reiki in various parts of the world and settings since 2008. Aside from her private practice\, Veronique has worked and volunteered in a hospital\, a cancer wellness center\, yoga studios\, and a senior living community. Veronique has been exploring both traditional and more contemporary approaches to the practice of Reiki. She has pursued these varied interests in the US as well as in Europe and Japan where Reiki originates from. Veronique believes in daily practice and continuing education. She is a professional member of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT)\, Shibumi Association/International House of Reiki (IHR) and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
