About the Group: Miyoga Kendo Club was founded in 1998 as the Sugiyama Dojo Kendo Kai, originally providing training to senior instructors of the Japan Karate Association of Chicago. Following the closure of the Sugiyama Dojo, Miyoga Kendo Club transitioned to the Japanese Culture Center, where we now welcome anyone seeking to learn and enjoy the art of Kendo.
