The Way of Tea
To celebrate the opening of More Things Japanese, the Heritage Museum of Asian Art invites community members to a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Known as Chanoyu, this ritual is an immersive art form that weaves together calligraphy, flower arrangement, movement, sound, taste, and craft—bringing to life the harmony of ceramics, lacquer, bamboo, and textile. Join us in honoring this centuries-old practice as a living expression of Japanese culture and aesthetics.
