Attend a film screening of Proof of the Man, followed by a Kissaten experience & vinyl DJ set. Coffee, Tea, and Snacks Provided
Saturday, November 29th 2-6PM.
Cost: $30
As part of the Shikago Foundation project, we are screening Proof of the Man at the Japanese Culture Center for a limited audience. A short discussion will follow the film with DJ Skeme Richards, along with an exclusive Kissaten experience vinyl DJ set. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided! Relax and enjoy a very special listening session with one of the world’s greatest vinyl selectors!
Receiving a home-video release for the very first time outside of Japan, Proof of the Man is a gripping crime drama with some historical depth, directed by Junya Sato and from the Kadokawa production company. Added commentary by film scholar Rob Buscher and DJ Skeme Richards.
The Shikago Kanji neon sign installation will be presented at the event also. This will be the first live DJ set ever at the Japanese Culture Center’s new location! The DJ Set will be recorded.
Only 30 tickets are available.
